Thanks to all who visited my blog and shared their stories with me this year. It's pouring with rain over most of NZ today so we'll be staying in tonight AND Whitesnake has to work in the morning. How will you be bringing in the New Year?

She’d been holidaying in Tahiti for a week. Staying out of the sun to protect her pale skin.

Every day another tanned person commented,” You’re so pale. First day here?”

She finally had enough and sat out in the sun all day without sunscreen. It took three days to recover from her sunstroke. Never again.

Yes, this happened to me once. Ouchie. Don't forget to slip, slop, slap this Summer. Not much chance of that today, it's pouring with rain. Actually, we haven't had much of a Summer at all so far :(

Keeping Up With KB - Christmas Day

Hi all,

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas because we certainly did.

Whitesnake, Coco and I spent the morning together opening pressies, pottering around and watching the top 400 awesome hits of the eighties.

The music reminded me of  happy times but some clips brought back memories of a couple of bad perms I had, which I'd rather forget.

We headed over to my parents' house for a late lunch. I was really pleased that the food was reasonably healthy and I didn't feel like I'd overindulged. It was great to catch up with my sis and her fella. We  don't see them enough and are going to make more of an effort to catch up in the future.

Whitesnake and I spent the evening having a few drinks while we watched, A Christmas Carol (my favourite Christmas movie). All in all, a lovely day.

I rush out the front door to warn the stranger not to open the gate. She pushes her way through anyway. My dog bolts through the space to freedom.

"Didn't you read the sign?"

"Lots of people have those signs but don't have a dog," she replies.

She tries to sell me something. Bloody idiot.

This is based on an event that happened to me last week. I was so angry. I have a sign on my gate, the gate is bolted from the inside and she still came waltzing in as if she owned the place. Then she had the nerve to try to sell me something. I told her I was not interested and I would have to rescue my dog before she reached the busy road.The young woman looked at me like I was the one putting her out.

I sent an email to the company concerned and asked not to be visited by them again. They replied that they were sorry and would not enter my property again. I sent another email asking how they would do this without having my address. Idiots!

What annoyed me the most was that if Coco had bitten the woman, she'd be the one classed as dangerous.

Rant over.

We found this beautiful walkway this week. We've driven past this place many times but didn't realise there was a walkway off the road. We'd already had our walk for the day when we spotted it so we'll head back soon to check it out and take more pics.

Beagle Freedom Project

These dogs have lived their lives so far in a research lab. They have never seen the sun, been cuddled or felt grass under their paws. Watch the video to see them set free. I cried buckets.

There is also a list of companies which test on animals. I was shocked when I read some of the names, I'm making it my mission to be more aware of the products I buy and to finding out which products I can buy which are not tested on animals.
