Blood Bath

I wrote y'all a story for Halloween.

Her remaining senses kick into overdrive as her eyes become accustomed to the darkness. The scent of copper assaulting her nose, the dripping sounds from many taps? She steadies herself against the wall, flinching from slippery slime beneath her hands. The taste of fear but all too late. The vision before her predicts her fate.

Happy Halloween

My Halloween Personality

You See Halloween as Fun

A bit of an introvert, you like the special occasions just as much as everyone else. You just have your own unique way of celebrating Halloween.

You definitely think of yourself as someone who has a dark side. And part of having that dark side means not showing it.

Your inner child is open minded, playful, and adventurous.

You truly fear the dark side of humanity. You are a true misanthrope.

You're logical, rational, and not easily effected. Not a lot scares you... especially when it comes to the paranormal.

You are picky and high maintenance. If you wear a Halloween costume, it's only when you really feel like it. And it has to be perfect.

Friday Feel Good ~ How Is Norma?

Here's my contribution to Friday Feel Good, which is hosted by my wonderful man - Whitesnake. Each Friday we will post something that gives us that feel good feeling. Pay Whitesnake a visit if you'd like to join in the fun.

I've spent quite some time at the hospital and phoning the hospital recently so I can totally relate to this. Very funny.

HOW IS NORMA?
A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph's Hospital. She timidly asked, "Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?"
The operator said, "I'll be glad to help, dear. What's the name and room number of the patient?"
The grandmother in her weak, tremulous voice said,
"Norma Findlay, Room 302."
The operator replied, "Let me put you on hold while I check with the nurse's station for that room."
After a few minutes, the operator returned to the phone and said, "I have good news. Her nurse just told me that Norma is doing well. Her blood pressure is fine; her blood work just came back normal and her physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged tomorrow."
The grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful. I was so worried. God bless you for the good news."
The operator replied, "You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?"
The grandmother said, "No, I'm Norma Findlay in Room 302. No one tells me anything."

That's all folks.
See you again soon.

Go The Mighty All Blacks

The big day is finally here, it's Rugby World Cup Final day and I can hardly wait. Whitesnake is finishing work early tonight so we can have a barbeque and watch the game. I'm hoping the All Blacks will win but I'm not underestimating the French team. I'm so excited!

Go The Mighty All Blacks!

Weekend Walkabout

Welcome to Weekend Walkabout, a place to share and explore the different corners of our world.

I've been on a few shorts walks this week with Coco. I don't have any pics to share but I'd love to see yours :)

Teaser Tuesdays ~ The River King by Alice Hoffman

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by the lovely MizB of Should Be Reading.

Here's how it works...

Grab your latest read, open it up and share two sentences from the page. Easy as that. Don't forget to link back to MizB and share the title and author of your book so others can add to their TBR (to be read) list if they wish.

Here's my teaser...

In his experience, this was what happened; an individual paid dearly for all that was sweet .Spend the evening with a beautiful girl, walk through the woods on a cool pleasant night, lie peacefully on another man's grave to watch the three brilliant stars of Orion, and soon enough a message would arrive to remind you of what you were up against.

Have a great day/night and I'll see you again soon.
Happy reading,

Weekend Walkabout - Auckland Domain

Welcome to Weekend Walkabout, a place to share and explore the different corners of our world.

Most of our walking the past couple of weeks has been to and from and around the hospital. Thank goodness I don't have to walk up and down those corridors anymore. What I love about Auckland Hospital is the beautiful park next door. We didn't take a walk there but we drove through the grounds every night on our way home from visiting Dad. We're going to head back to the park and take some photos soon. Here are some pics from Google maps website.

Daddy's Home

Here's my contribution to Friday Feel Good, which is hosted by my wonderful man - Whitesnake. Each Friday we will post something that gives us that feel good feeling. Pay Whitesnake a visit if you'd like to join in the fun.

My feel good this week is easy...my Dad is out of the hospital and recovering at home. It doesn't get much better than that.

I've learnt so much this past couple of weeks, my family means the world to me, I'm a lot stronger than I thought I was and most of all, I couldn't have gotten through this without Whitesnake's love and support. Thanks babe xxxx

Have a great weekend all.

Dad

Dad has been in hospital the last few days awaiting heart surgery. I'm still shocked as he is one of the fittest people I know.

I'll be back when things settle down a bit.

Take care.
